What counts as personal use?
Your own accounts, used by you, for your own life and for side projects nobody pays you for. If a company, school or public body is involved, write to info@tundra-mail.com.
Do I need an account or a licence key?
No. Tundra has no account system and no licence check. Download it, connect your mail, and it works.
What does AI cost?
Tundra hosts no AI and sells no credits. A cloud provider bills you directly through your own key. A local model in LM Studio or Ollama costs nothing beyond your hardware. AI features stay off until you turn them on.
How does use at work get sorted out?
Write to info@tundra-mail.com with a line about your team. We'll agree the details with you directly; the Terms explain how use at work is licensed.
Does the free app include support?
You can email the founder for help. Support is offered at his discretion, as time allows; a reply, response time or fix is not guaranteed. This does not affect requests or remedies that must be handled under applicable law.
Will personal use stay free?
That is the intent. Whatever changes later, the build on your disk keeps working, because nothing in Tundra phones home for a licence.
Is Tundra open source?
Not at the moment. Releases are published on GitHub with SHA-256 checksums and minisign signatures you can verify.
Can I take my data with me?
Your mail stays with your provider, so any other mail app can read it. What you set up in Tundra (settings, snippets, rules, skills, signatures and themes) exports as one file with Export… in Settings › General. Choose file… brings a Tundra export back in, and you review every section before anything changes. Save snapshot now keeps a copy inside Tundra, and Restore… returns to one.
Try Tundra on your own mail.
